Generally speaking, I primarily consider music as emotion. Be it the rythm of a train passing a gap on a rail or the coincidental sound of wind chimes or the backround music of a shopping mall - it`s always music that determines wether I feel comfortable at a place or not. True silence has become rare, and thus I am influenced and inspired wherever I go.
Concerning theatre and music: It is a passion for someone, who inevitably perceives and rates music almost everywhere, to find the exact composition for a scene, a character or a situation.
Being a part of the artistic team consisting of director, set and costume designer and composer, it is the latter`s task as well to furnish the play and the actor respectively with a space for free artistic development. I can signifcantly contribute to the creation of atmosphere, the illustration of characters and the accentuation and contrasting of scenes.
I consider the theatre as a place of infinite creativeness, of constant curiosity and of an idealism which makes me scrutinize my limits day by day.
Thus I take, for example, the sound of a train clattering over a gap on a rail, the coincidental sound of wind chimes as well as the racket in the shopping mall and create a dramatic theme hence. I listen to everyday life and thereby use my varied experience from classic and popular music, theatre and life.
